Detect the presence of a remote system that is connected to the network and available.
Note: This component is generally used to verify the connection with another machine and, following the results, is used to decide how to execute a scenario.
» Parameters
The Parameters tab proposes to define Hostname and Timeout
- Process name: Type in a name for the process.
- Delay type: Select the required delay type from the dropdown list.
» Advanced parameters
This Tab allows to the user to define the specific parameters of the ping
- Attempts: Numerical value representing the number of IP packets that will be sent (default setting: 4).
- TTL: Numerical value (default setting: 128).
- Buffer size: Numerical value representing the size of the IP frame sent (default setting: 32)
- Don’t fragment: Availibility to accept or decline if one of the Attempts is an error or not
